In the fall of 2016, Jordan Hart embarked on a 30-day cycling adventure from Owen Sound, Ontario to Mobile, AL. The Adventure Cycling Association’s Underground Railroad Route follows a 2007 mile corridor from the Deep South to Canada, and was famously traveled by thousands of enslaved African Americans seeking freedom in the north. Stopping along the way, Hart found his journey inspiring and a great way to experience history.

Presenter Biography: Jordan Hart is an Outdoor Recreation Program Specialist for Five Rivers MetroParks helping to support cycling, backcountry and paddling programs in Dayton, Ohio the Outdoor Adventure Capital of the Midwest! He is a photographer, local scout leader, and avid cyclist. Jordan travels as much as possible. In 2003, he rode to Lake Erie with his scout troop and fell in love with long distance cycling. After several week long tours he set out in the fall of 2016 to ride cross country.
