Embracing adventure has added immeasurable value to our lives. In this presentation, University of Dayton students Megan, Mathew, Eileen, Zack, and Annie will share their stories of how overcoming doubt and saying “yes” to a challenge resulted in the best possible outcome, especially in the face of misadventure.

Bios

Megan Peters

Megan is an avid mountain biker, night hiker, slopestyle skier, and backpacker who knows adventure can be found anywhere if we are brave enough to say yes.

Annie Mayer

Annie had seen the ocean twice in her life before she signed on to live aboard, crew, and study on a 112 foot sailboat with 24 others. She sailed from Fiji to Palau, encountered the coolest wildlife on the planet, learned to scuba dive, and grew more as a sailor and person than she thought possible.

Eileen, Matthew, and Zach embarked on a spontaneous 2021 Summer Road trip, made lasting memories, and learned through experience, mishap and misadventure along the way. When plans went awry, they had no option but to make the most of a challenging adventure.
