Ohiopyle Adventures

Rob Crawford presents Ohiopyle Adventures;

From George Washington’s earliest wildness exploration to Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail backpacking, whitewater kayaking and rafting and Great Appalachian Passage cycling. This presentation ties the history of the area that influenced military decisions during the French and Indian War with the mountains and mighty Youghiogheny River that makes this a fantastic outdoor recreation area today. Learn how these mountains and rivers shaped our nation’s greatest military leader when he was an aspiring young British Officer.

Rob will discuss historic sites including Jumonville Glen, Fort Necessity National Battlefield, Braddock’s Grave, Frank Loyd Wright’s Fallingwater, and Flight 93 National Memorial. State Parks including Laurel Ridge, Laurel Hill, Laurel Summit, Laurel Mountain, Linn Run, Kooser, Ohiopyle; and most of Forbes State Forest, Bear Run Reserve at Fallingwater.
