Tribute to Adventurer Allen Johnson

Karla & Carl Brun present Tribute to Adventurer Allen Johnson;

Karla and Carl Brun will provide a short biography of Allen’s accomplishments and share stories of their travels with Allen Johnson, who wrote 31 books, 250 articles, and gave over 100 presentations about his travels around the world, many of which were chronicled as “Adventures with Grandchildren”. The travels shared in this presentation will include rollerblading across Holland, biking to the Arctic Circle, kayaking in Iceland, supporting Allen’s personal Iron Man at age 70 and biking 85 miles on his 85th birthday, and traveling with him to Corsica and most recently to Africa, where he ziplined along Victoria Falls. The Bruns may be joined by some of Allen’s family.

Bio

Karla Brun has traveled the world as a hiker, boater, and biker. She has traveled on 7 of Allen Johnson’s chronicled adventures. Allen Johnson wrote 31 books, 250 articles, and gave over 100 presentations about his adventures, most of which were his “Adventures with Grandchildren”. Allen passed away at age 86, on Nov. 22, 2021 while traveling in Egypt. Karla will be joined by her husband, Carl, who joined Allen on several adventures and supported Allen’s successful completion of his own person Iron Man at age, 70 and biking 85 miles on his 85th birthday.
