February 12 @ 1:15 pm

Dr. Josh Stierwalt presents Avoiding and Managing Heat and Cold Illness;

It’s cold outside right now and warmer weather is just around the corner! Exposure to environmental extremes including cold, hot and humid conditions can cause illness and even death. Learn tips on cold & heat illness prevention, and how to treat it should it occur.

Bio

Josh is a third year Emergency Medicine Resident in the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine EM Residency Program and an Active Duty Air Force Physician.  He is originally from Colorado and loves spending time outdoors with his family and participating in almost all endurance sports.  He is an avid runner and considers himself an, at best, mediocre ultra-marathoner, triathlete, downhill skier, cross-country skier, and scuba-diver.  He is interested in wilderness/austere medicine, and the environmental extremes associated with endurance athletics.
