Join the Colemans as they share their honest and imperfect journey of unintended reinvention. This presentation follows Michelle and Brian’s ongoing journey of reinvention, shaped most powerfully by their pilgrimages. From their first Camino—where nothing went as planned—to the many routes, challenges, friendships, and breakthroughs that followed, each pilgrimage invited them to rethink their priorities, embrace change, and grow together.
Their story highlights how the trail repeatedly pushed them out of their comfort zone, offered unexpected lessons, and inspired them to return year after year. For anyone curious about the transformative power of pilgrimage or seeking a fresh chapter in life, their journey offers insight, encouragement, and an invitation to consider what might happen when you step onto your own path. If you’re craving inspiration, courage to try something new, or a reminder that reinvention is always within reach, we’d love for you to join the Colemans.
Bio
From local trails to global treks, Michelle and Brian Coleman turned their first Five Rivers MetroParks hike into a lifelong adventure. Since 2006, the duo behind Cruisin’ with the Colemans has evolved from weekend campers into full-time explorers, traveling North America in their trailer, Casa del Camino, in search of great hikes—from national parks to long-distance routes like the Appalachian and North Country trails.
Their passion for walking pilgrimages has carried them across Europe, logging more than 3,000 miles on the Camino de Santiago and other ancient routes—now even guiding small groups along the way. Teachers part of the year and adventurers the rest, they continue to explore trails, cities, and cultures while sharing stories and community with those who follow their journey.
