In the summer of 2025, my 19-year-old son and I set out on an unforgettable adventure before he left for college. Our mission was simple: hike, raft, camp, bike, and explore—completely off-grid. Living out of our truck, we avoided public campgrounds and relied on mapping apps like OnX to locate free campsites on BLM land. Every meal was cooked outdoors, and we found creative ways to grab a shower wherever we could.
The experience was more than just exploring Colorado’s wild beauty it was about disconnecting from the busyness of everyday life and reconnecting with each other in the great outdoors. It truly was the adventure of a lifetime.

A devoted Christ follower, Chad finds joy and purpose in exploring the outdoors, whether it’s bikepacking across rugged trails, overlanding through remote landscapes, or camping and hiking with his family.
