Kickoff Event & Ticket Info

The Adventure Summit Kickoff Event is a great opportunity to meet our featured speakers, and network with the outdoor recreation community.

The Kickoff Event will be in the Apollo Room from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and the cost is $10 per person.

An Evening Featuring Films, Music and Inspiration

  • The Way, My Way: A feature film by Bill Bennett with Q & A to follow with camino enthusiasts Michelle and Brian Coleman
  • Truth and Dignity: A short film with introduction and Q & A with the Bicycle Nomad, Erick Cedeño
  • Music and river stories with boatman, musician, and author Trapper Haskins
  • Mingle with featured presenters

Tickets include entry to movie, popcorn, candy, and drinks. A cash bar will also be on site.

The Adventure Summit Expo is designed to provide the visitor a chance to mingle with local, regional and national outdoor industry exhibitors.

A variety of outdoor clubs, specialty retail shops, outfitters, resorts commonly exhibit at the Summit.

Between inspiring presentations, make sure you spend time in the expo.

Used Gear Sales

Supported by Arrow Adventure benefiting the Spotted Turtle Trail

Visitors to the Adventure Summit have a chance to pick up some lightly used outdoor recreation related equipment. The Used Gear Area provides a great place for outdoor adventurers to recycle their used gear. This reduces waste going into our landfills and helps others pick up the equipment needed to try a new outdoor adventure at an introductory rate.

Five percent of all sales will be donated to the Spotted Turtle Trail.

Cash or card accepted. For your convenience there is an ATM located on the upper level near the Credit Union.

  • Location: Raider Landing in front of the bookstore in the Upper Atrium of the Wright State University Student Union.
  • Hours: Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pick up unsold used gear or your consignment income by 5:30 PM on Saturday.
Unclaimed items will be donated to charity. Unclaimed sales money will be donated to the Spotted Turtle Trail.

Additional Information

Donate Your Used Gear:

  • Drop off your donated gear. Arrow Adventure will tag, price, and manage the sale and transaction. Drop off from 3 to 8 PM on Friday or 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday.
  • No forms are needed for donated gear.
  • 100% of the sale price will be donated to the Spotted Turtle Trail.
  • All unsold items must be picked up by 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Unclaimed items will not be returned and will be donated to charity. Unclaimed sales money will be donated to the Spotted Turtle Trail.

Consignment Sales:

  • You drop off unlimited items, tag and price them and Arrow Adventure will manage the sale and transaction. Note: If you have a large number of items please plan to help tag your items at the time of drop off, this is a big help to used gear staff. Drop off from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday or 9 to 11 p.m. on Saturday.
  • All items inside the consignment area will be registered, tagged, and priced.
  • There is a 30% consignment fee (25% to Arrow Adventure, 5% to Spotted Turtle Trail).
  • All unsold items must be picked up by 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Unclaimed items will be donated to charity. Unclaimed sales money will be donated to the Spotted Turtle Trail.

Rules and Procedures

The Adventure Summit staff and Arrow Adventure reserves the right to limit and/or deny the admittance of any vendors/participants and any such items that are not representative of human powered, non-consumptive, outdoor recreation gear, equipment, and apparel.

  • Prohibited Items listed below, but not limited to: firearms and large knives, golf clubs traditional team sport gear, e.g. basketballs, tennis rackets, soccer balls, etc. and motorized recreational vehicles/equipment, e.g. scooters, ATV, jet skis and fishing boats.
  • Five Rivers MetroParks, Arrow Adventure, and Wright State University are not responsible for loss or damage of any items in the consignment area.
  • Consignment Agreement Forms must be filled out by each consigner when dropping off items.
  • Any sales money left unclaimed by 5:30 p.m. on Saturday will be donated to the Spotted Turtle Trail.

For sellers with 10 or more items, we recommend that you reach out in advance to Arrow Adventure at arrowadventurecincy@gmail.com. You will receive a consignor number, consignor sheet and instructions, which will facilitate take-in of gear at the event. Tagging your gear in advance is recommended, but not required. Tags will be available onsite.

About Spotted Turtle Trail

The Spotted Turtle Trail Project will create a continuous 15-mile trail connecting the parks and reserves along the Beaver Creek wetland corridor. The trail will create access to these unique wetlands and provide opportunities for the community to learn about and enjoy this endangered natural resource. When complete, the Spotted Turtle Trail along with loops and spurs will provide more than 40 miles of trails!

 

 

Beer Tastings

We are teaming with Bonbright Distributors and Great Lakes Brewing Co. to host craft beer tastings throughout the weekend.

FREE, limited, tastings are open to the public on Saturday during the following times. Tasting participants must be 21 years old and have a valid photo ID.  Visitors may participate in only one tasting session to allow everyone a chance to try the tasty craft brews! Sessions fill quickly, so be sure to sign up early in the day for your preferred time.

Check in 5 minutes before your session or your spot may be given away.  If you are participating in pool or climbing activity, please do so prior to your tasting session.

Party With The Pros

As part of the much-anticipated Adventure Summit on February 21st, the Party With The Pros supported by Bonbright Distributors is scheduled to take place immediately following the Coleman’s presentation. Party with the Pros is an opportunity for attendees to unwind, network, and celebrate their shared passion for exploration and discovery.

The party will feature a vibrant atmosphere and refreshing beverages. Attendees can mingle with fellow adventurers, share stories of their exploits, and forge new connections.

This exciting party promises to be a highlight of the Adventure Summit, offering a chance to relax, connect, and commemorate the spirit of adventure. Whether you’re a seasoned mountaineer or an aspiring explorer, come and make connections and relax at the Party with the Pros.
