From Homelessness to Accomplishing Incredible Expeditions, by Jillian Brown

Jillian A. Brown’s presentation will take you on a wild ride of adventure, emotion and passion.
Her presentation shares the story of a driven young women who finds herself homeless and lost, to shifting her experiences into fuel to drive her to accomplish a World First paddling a tandem sea kayak down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. To a Canadian first and Female First Paddling Across the United States. A 150 day journey from Astoria, Oregon to Baton Rouge Louisiana. Once returning home from her epic expeditions, she became named one of Canada’s Faces of Mental Health for nation wide campaign, public speaking and became CEO and lead guide for a camp for first responders, at risk youth and their families affected by ptsd. Where she was honored to share her tools found while living homeless of moving that trapped stress and continuing to manage it through anything and anywhere.
Her story of Rediscovery and connecting passions is showcased with dramatic and captivating imagery that will make the viewer feel they are along for the wild ride.

Jillian Brown is a Canadian documentary photographer known for taking her cameras to extremes and pushing herself to the brink to share a story and share the power of connecting to the natural world.
