Orthopedic injuries are among the most common seen in outdoor activities. This is a practical guide for those without advanced medical training to assess and stabilize commonly encountered injuries in the outdoor setting with limited resources. Following discussion, we provide an opportunity for hands-on practice of injury stabilization.

Dr. Hillary McKinley
Hillary McKinley is a Chief Resident in the Wright State University Emergency Medicine program. Her academic interests include ultrasound and education. Her personal interests include spending time with family & friends, hiking (especially in the White Mountains of New England), exploring the Ohio bicycle trails, basketball, and pretending like she will actually go for a run.
Dr. Heather Stuart
Heather is originally from California! For undergrad he attended and played water polo for The University of California, Berkeley otherwise known as Cal, Go Bears! While water polo gave her the chance to travel the world, she always knew deep down he wanted to become a doctor! She pursued her dreams of becoming a doctor and attended SGU for medical school. She is a current third year resident of EM at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio! She will be graduating residency this year with plans to stay in the Dayton area! In her free time she loves being outside, swimming or hiking! She also enjoy baking, eating baked goods or any food for that matter, and traveling
